5 things you need to know when starting university

I wish I knew these FIVE things before starting university:

  • Time Management.

Time management is a very important factor you need to know and try to manage before or during university. By simple thing such as waking up early, not being late to class, go through the lectures, catching up tutorials with your own schedule and time. Know how to basically live by yourself and try to adapt to things quickly.

  • Make More Friends

University time can be one of the most valuable time of your life, so don’t be alone, and make more friends to enrich your university life which you will memory forever.

  • Join More Clubs

It is quite important and useful the join different clubs of the Uni. You are able to get to know more people through ice-breaking while joining the activities held by uni clubs. It would be better if you are willing to participate in campaign designing and organizing. You could benefit a lot and develop more skills through the cooperation with you colleagues. • How majors and minors worked, and which ones are beneficial for my field

Majors and minors are confusing before actually going through university. Having a creative minor that helps supplement the major program could help you individually. For example, people taking marketing would want to have a minor of digital culture or sociology to understand their markets and how people think. This types of minor would help benefit in the future.

  • Familiarize yourself with the classrooms locations.

Different classes has different locations, It is important to find out where the classes are so that you won’t be late for class. Attending class in time can let you have a good first impression from the lecturer.
