With the continuous development of modern society, people have evolved from the earliest verbal transmission of information (the predecessor of social news sharing) to now relying on the Internet for daily communication and social news sharing. This is a huge product of the times and social progress. Sharing is the foundation of the interconnection of human society. The Internet has brought the information of the entire society into the era of sharing, and the resulting sharing model is a manifestation of social progress. It affects our politics, economics, and social life, and creates sharing wealth for society. However, there is no guarantee that everyone could get benefit from the information society. This article will discuss how social news sharing has evolved into part of the historical trend of communication media, and who benefits from the transformative influence in political, economic, and social sense, and who did not. Also, including the subsequent impacts and problems.
The historical background
Thousands or even tens of thousands of years ago, humans communicated orally. During the slave society of the Shang Dynasty, the Oracle Bone Inscriptions (the earliest characters appearing in the world) appeared in China, and primitive humans communicated by using the sharp tools to engrave on tortoise shells and animal bones. Around 3000 BC, the ancient Egyptians began to use of homing pigeons to carry messages, which is the Pigeons post. During that time, people preferred animals to become a medium to transmit information. Since then, humans have begun to seek a wider range of communication methods. Communication will not only be fixed within a certain range, because communication has no boundaries. In 1605, the “News Chronicle” was published in Antwerp, the Netherlands, which was the world’s first printed newspaper. People’s creativity is limitless, and they are no longer satisfied with written communication. At the beginning of the 19th century, they began to explore more digital media communication. In 1844, the first telegram in human history was born. In 1875, the first telephone in human history was born. In 1946, the world’s first general-purpose computer “ENIAC” was born. In 1957, the world’s first artificial earth satellite “Sputnik-1” was born. “Nick 1” launched into space. It seems like this kind of communication could already connect the communication between the earth and the universe. However, it is almost impossible to apply this communication form to daily life. Therefore, in 1969, the first email was born. From now on, the development of human digital communication media has officially entered the right track. Today in the 21st century, nearly 60% of the world’s population of 7.6 billion people are using the Internet to communicate. More than 4.5 billion people worldwide currently use the Internet, and social media users have exceeded the 3.8 billion (We Are Social & Hootsuite,2020). This also means that social media sharing has become the most important part of media communication (Martin, 2019).

From a certain perspective, social news sharing can also be regarded as “resources sharing”, it’s mainly involving political, economic and social significance. Due to the fast development of news sharing, it brought a transformative impact on the above aspects. The beginning of resource sharing means that “sharing” has begun to move from the conceptual stage to the practical stage (Veronika Karnowski et al., 2020).
The government became the biggest beneficiary. Under the background of social news sharing, public opinion will push citizens to participate in political discussions. This kind of discussion can not only encourage many citizens who ignore political activities to participate in it, but also increase citizens’ attention to national politics. Ordinary people are also one of the beneficiaries（Erasmus University Rotterdam, 2019). Open sharing and discussion have added more transparency to politics, allowing citizens to better understand the country’s political policies and participate in it. They can even interfere in some political activities (eg. general elections). Compared with the traditional and old-fashioned political model, the current politics is more flexible and transparent, and it can even be said that it has narrowed the relationship between the government and the people. However, social news sharing on political aspects involves political speech issues in multiple countries. Different countries with different political systems may cause a tug-of-war of political speech in the media due to different political positions. It will even affect diplomacy and international relations.
Most of the participants are the biggest beneficiaries, whether you are a supplier or a consumer. In the context of social media sharing, “resource sharing” has become an important means of promoting economic growth. A significant feature of the information economy is that it has high technical content, strong permeability, fast value-added, and high returns, which can optimize the management and allocation of various production factors to a large extent, to achieve the best state of resource allocation. This does not only reduce production costs but also increases productivity and expands the value of the output in society, thereby promoting economic growth, changed the traditional economic model subversively (Conger,K. & Griffith, E,2020). Obviously, this has accelerated the development of the world economy, and the general trend of informatization, globalization, and multi-polarization. However, the benefits of ‘resource sharing’ to human society have not been shared in different countries, regions, and social classes. The digitization gap has increased the gap between developed and developing countries and will create a gap between the rich and the poor between the developed economy and economically underdeveloped regions in a country. Moreover, in the “sharing era”, the demand of dependence on manual labor is gradually weakening, and the requirements for the quality of workers, especially professional quality, are gradually increasing, which means will inevitably causes unemployment.
As more and more social news sharing and “resource sharing” mean that society has entered the “sharing era”, this is also the biggest transformative impact that sharing has brought to society. Make the global society more diversity. Whether it is from the aspects of politics, economy, and daily life, it is not only brings convenience but also seems to be more like to create a new era of digitalization and automation. However, in the deep of the Amazon forest, ancient primitive tribes are still circumvented outside the scope of this digital times. They have never become beneficiaries of social news sharing, and seem to have been forgotten and eliminated by this era.
Take classes in Zoom, hand in homework on Canvas, communicate with classmates on Facebook, complete group work together on GoogleDoc, and so on. Even if, the outbreak separated me and the campus. It will not affect the normal study and life at all. The problem that followed resource sharing was that the user information and privacy issues which I filled in on the digital social media platform had been leaked. And the platform will match the corresponding advertisements according to my daily search preferences, when I login into the platform. I often receive a lot of advertising push emails related to social media platforms in my mailbox. And one more thing, due to the political policy restrictions of my country, there will be firewall when I accessing international web pages and using a series of Western social media platforms. This means that VPN is an essential tool in my study and life. We often call him “ladder” to help us cross over the firewall.

Overall, it starts from three aspects: political, economic and social significance. Whether it is businessmen (new business opportunities-online shopping), government agencies (political attention), the general public, students, and even the elderly, they are all transformative beneficiaries of Internet innovation (social news sharing, resource sharing). This kind of innovation and progress affects every bit of our daily life. In fact, the biggest beneficiaries are ordinary Internet users. Internet innovation tends to be popularized and even commercialized. Most importantly, Internet innovation is to bring the entire society into a new era of digitalization.
