Facebook has banned Donald Trump’s social media accounts because of his attacks on the site during the election. What’s interesting is that Trump’s account is blocked indefinitely. The extent of the embargo in a former president is noteworthy. The decision was made by the Social Media Company’s Independent Oversight Board. Based on the information, the committee will review the indefinite ban in six months. Michael McConnell, chairman of the committee, said in a conference call with reporters that the unlimited ban did not meet international standards.
Trump was banned for Posting messages of support for rioters, in violation of Facebook’s terms, which glorifies violence. Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said in a post that “the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great.”
