According to the report, 100% of Australian free-to-air national news directors are men of Anglo-Celtic background. Over 75% of presenters, commentators and reporters on news and current affairs radio screens are of Anglo-Celtic background, while only 6% are of Aboriginal or non-European background.These figures all point to the fact that the Australian media industry is often based on a white male perspective, a practice that can leave the Australian media lacking in cultural and linguistic diversity.
