Adidas has launched an AR experience – the virtual sneaker, that enables users to check how shoes look on their feet in real-time without entering any store. Intelligent technology satisfies customers’ demand to experience in their homes and even for those that may be out of stock in offline stores. However, there are still some concerns about this technology since AR would only provide the appearance of the sneakers but lack the ability for consumers to judge whether is it fit to wear and determine the size of it; accordingly, the offline experience is still inevitable before the AR make it possible to comprehensively experience the sneakers.
