TikTok has a Chinese background, US lawmakers are questioning whether the company has sufficiently protected users against data access by the Chinese government (Gray, 2021). In March 2023, the hearing in Congress addressed TikTok’s relationships with China, drugs, and teenager’s mental health issues.

5G technology rollout is a geopolitical concern. The United States is concerned that Chinese telecommunications corporations, such as Huawei, may utilise their 5G infrastructure for spying. This has led to bans on Huawei’s participation in 5G networks in certain nations.

Huawei Released New Chip

At the end of August, Huawei released the new flagship device, which includes a new 5G Kirin 9000s processor. It shocked the world as the US government banned US companies from selling software and equipment to Huawei in 2019 due to perceived national security concerns.
