TOPIC: THE SPLINTERNET

This issue is regarding politics as varying countries allow and restrict specific platforms and types of content to their people. Different countries have varying levels of control on what and how much content the people of their country have access to; some are stricter than others

  • investigate why there are different ‘versions’ of the internet
  • minimum 5-6 academic sources > HD 7-8 sources
  • What countries have similar versions of the internet
  • Examples of what content countries do and don’t have access to
  • The splinternet
  • The different versions of the internet in different countries
  • Show government power over their people because they essentially choose what they can and cant consume over the internet
  • Say WHY do they do this
  • Say HOW do they do this
