Within the reading by Noble, it clearly outlines that the internet subjects individuals of marginalised communities, including women, and people of colour,  to be misrepresented in searches. Upon searching up ‘beautiful women’, the searches revolved around solely white women, as opposed to women of colour, highlighting these prejudicial biases. The question with regards to these searches became whether

2. Correlating Colour with Crime

COMPAS stands for Correctional Offender Management Profiling for Alternative Sanctions and it is an AI algorithm used to predict whether a convicted criminal will reoffend in US court systems. The model predicted double the amount of false positives for black offenders than white offenders. This was attributed to the data used and the model chosen.
