Instagram is one of the largest social media platforms. It involves sharing image based content and its chat features allow for social interaction.

Tiktok

Tiktok became popular among youth during the COVID pandemic due to its participatory nature. It encourages users to take part in trends, dance challenges, and other activities that reinforce stereotypical beauty standards. (Quiroz NT, 2020)
